How Is an Eye Exam Performed?
During the eye examination, your pupils will be dilated for an examination of the retina and optic nerve. We screen for conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and a host of other conditions. We test your peripheral vision, visual acuity, intraocular pressure along with an assessment of the pupil, lens, optic nerve, retina, and cornea. We do recommend bringing a pair of sunglasses but will happily provide you with post-dilation spectacles to help with light sensitivity after dilation.
